Calendula salve is among the top favorites for herbalists all around the world and with good reason! Calendula is commonly used for all sorts of skin related issues including cuts, bruises and rashes.

First off you’ll need to make your calendula infused oil:

Fill a 26 oz pantry jar 3/4 full with calendula flowers. Fill the jar about an inch from the top with olive oil. Place is a warm sunny spot for 4 weeks. Strain with cheese cloth and rebottle.

Once you have your calendula infused oil, you’re ready to make your salve. To make it, you’ll need:

1 cup calendula infused oil
1/4 cup beeswax pastilles
4-6 drops lavender essential oil (mountain rose herbs | far & wild | amazon)

For extra savings, use code ELISA20 from far and wild to save 20%.

In a double boiler, warm the calendula infused oil with the beeswax until melted. Remove from heat and add the lavender essential oil. Pour into 2 oz tins.

To use, apply a small amount topically on the skin, massaging it gently.
