If you know me at all, you know I’ll never turn down a warm cup of coffee. Lately, I’ve been leaning into ways to make that daily ritual a little more nourishing—something that supports my body while still feeling cozy and indulgent. This reishi cacao mushroom coffee has quickly become one of my favorite upgrades. It’s rich, grounding, and filled with ingredients that do more than just taste good.

At the heart of this blend is Reishi mushroom, often called the “mushroom of immortality.” Reishi is known for its adaptogenic properties, helping the body better respond to stress while supporting immune health. It’s also traditionally used to promote relaxation, making this a perfect option for a slower, more mindful coffee moment.

Paired with reishi is cacao powder, which brings a subtle chocolate flavor along with a boost of antioxidants. Cacao is rich in magnesium and can support mood by encouraging the release of feel-good neurotransmitters—so you get a little emotional lift with every sip.

Instead of traditional coffee, this recipe uses a gentle base of mushroom coffee, which typically contains lower caffeine levels than regular coffee while still offering that familiar, comforting flavor. It’s a great option if you’re looking to reduce jitters or support more balanced energy throughout the day.

To add a nourishing boost, a scoop of collagen peptides is blended in. Collagen supports healthy skin, hair, nails, and joints, and it dissolves seamlessly into warm drinks without affecting the flavor—making it an easy addition to your routine.

A pinch of Himalayan sea salt may seem small, but it plays an important role. It helps enhance the overall flavor while also providing trace minerals that support hydration and balance within the body.

For creaminess, this recipe uses almond milk or cashew milk. Both are dairy-free options that add a smooth, velvety texture without heaviness. Cashew milk tends to be slightly richer, while almond milk offers a lighter, nutty flavor—choose what you love most.

Instead of refined sugar, a Medjool date brings natural sweetness along with fiber and essential minerals like potassium. It blends beautifully into the drink, giving it a subtle caramel-like depth.

Finally, a dash of cinnamon ties everything together. Cinnamon not only adds warmth and flavor, but it may also help support healthy blood sugar levels and reduce inflammation.
