My hair tends to be on the dry side and needs a bit of TLC. I try to incorporate a little bit of self care on Sundays, so today I’m going to give my hair a luxurious conditioning treatment. My curls will be better for it -nice and shiny instead of dull and frizzy.

This is so easy there’s no reason not to do it yourself for less than 2 bucks! And when you make it yourself, you can be certain what’s in it, or better yet, what’s not in it.

You’ll need:

1/2 Cup Olive Oil
2 Tbs Cocoa Butter (mountain rose herbs | starwest botanicals | amazon)
1/3 Cup Sweet Almond Oil (mountain rose herbs | starwest botanicals | amazon)
3 drops lavender essential oil (mountain rose herbs | far & wild | amazon)
3 drops rosemary essential oil  (mountain rose herbs far & wild | amazon)

For extra savings, use code ELISA20 from far and wild to save 20%.

Melt olive oil, cocoa butter and sweet almond oil in a double boiler. Remove from heat and add essential oils. Stir and apply the warm oil on your scalp and hair and massage for a few minutes. Cover with a shower cap. Let it sit for 30 minutes before washing your hair.

While you’re waiting, put on a comfy robe and read a book. Take some quiet time to yourself. You deserve it!
