As I began to research the benefits of turmeric, I knew I had to find ways to incorporate it into my routine. This Golden Milk Turmeric Latte is a healing drink that will help reduce inflammation, stress and can be enjoyed before bed to help you sleep!

Turmeric is considered by many to be of the most powerful herbs on the planet. Just google some of the studies on it, especially as it relates to curcumin.

This spice has been used in beth ayurvedic and chinese medicine for thousands of years. I’m surprised we don’t use it as much here in America. It gets its nickname, “the golden spice” because of it’s bright yellow orange color.

It goes so well with other spices like ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, making up the most perfect golden latte to enjoy.

First make sure you have your spices on hand:

Ready to get started? To make it you’ll need:

1 cup of your favorite milk
1/4 cup coconut cream
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp ceylon cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp ginger powder
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of black pepper
pinch of ground nutmeg
pinch of ground cardamom
Sweetener (maple syrup, date syrup, honey, etc) if desired and to taste

Add the milk and coconut cream to a sauce pan. Gently whisk in the spices and warm over medium low heat. Remove from heat, pour mixture into a mug and add sweetener of you’d like.

If you don’t want to measure out all the spices each time you make one, you can make your own blend or grab one from my shop.

Enjoy this warm turmeric golden latte to unwind after a long day. It's the perfect get ready for bed beverage.

Ingredients
