If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you already know my obsession with coffee is no secret.

I look forward to my morning cup every single day, and while some people might call it my guilty pleasure, I’ve found a way to make it one of the most nourishing parts of my routine.

Instead of just pouring a cup and calling it good, I love turning my coffee into a wellness ritual by adding ingredients that bring both flavor and nourishment. A scoop of collagen, medicinal mushrooms, herbal tinctures, healthy fats, a drizzle of raw honey…it all comes together into one creamy, delicious drink that feels like something I’d order from my favorite coffee shop.

The best part? I don’t have to remember to take a handful of supplements later because they’re already tucked into something I’m excited to drink.

Why I Love These Ingredients

Espresso – A bold, rich espresso is the heart of this recipe. Coffee naturally contains antioxidants and is one of my favorite simple pleasures.

Raw Honey – Raw honey adds just enough sweetness while contributing naturally occurring enzymes and floral flavor that pair beautifully with espresso.

Collagen Peptides – Collagen is an effortless way to add protein to my morning. It dissolves completely and makes this coffee even creamier.

Focus Mushroom Coffee – This blend combines coffee with functional mushrooms traditionally used to support focus and everyday wellness. It adds a subtle earthy richness that complements the espresso perfectly.

Mountain Rose Herbs Mood Care Extract – This is one of my favorite tinctures to keep on hand. Mood Care is crafted with milky oat tops, passionflower, blue vervain, gotu kola, and kava kava—a beautiful combination of herbs traditionally used by herbalists to nourish the nervous system, encourage relaxation, and promote a balanced sense of well-being.

People always ask if they can taste the tincture.

Honestly? Not at all.

Coffee hides the flavor incredibly well, making it one of my favorite ways to enjoy herbal extracts. I also rotate in lemon balm, chamomile, and several of Mountain Rose Herbs’ other botanical blends throughout the week.

Heavy Cream – Heavy cream gives this coffee its rich, coffeehouse texture and satisfying creaminess.

Planet Oat Extra Creamy Oat Milk – My favorite oat milk for cold coffee. It’s smooth, creamy, and balances the espresso without overpowering it.

Sea Salt – Just a pinch makes all the flavors pop and helps balance the sweetness.

Cinnamon – A little cinnamon adds warmth, natural sweetness, and cozy coffee shop vibes.

Coffee Can Be Nourishing, Too

Coffee doesn’t have to be something you feel guilty about.

With a few intentional ingredients, your favorite daily ritual can become something that not only tastes amazing but also helps you incorporate herbs and nourishing foods into your day.

Happy sipping! ☕🌿
