I love a cup of hot coffee, especially a hot mocha, but that isn’t really the best choice for my adrenal glands. If you know me at all you know that my adrenal fatigue recovery is something I’m intensely passionate about, so this mushroom hot chocolate is a better option for me.

Reishi mushrooms are prized for their ability to build resistance to illness, detox the body, and calm the nerves. This mushroom hot cocoa hits the spot for a nice warm drink full of adaptogen goodness!

To make it you’ll need:

1 Tbs Reishi Powder
1 Tbs Marshmallow Root Powder
1 Tbs Maca Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Bean Powder
1/2 cup Coconut Palm Sugar
1/2 tsp Himalayan Sea Salt
1 dash Cinnamon
1 dash Ginger Root
1 dash Cardamom Powder

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in a mason jar.

Warm up 1 cup of milk (or Coconut Milk, Almond Milk etc) and 1 tablespoon of the mixture in a blender, like a vitamix which makes it perfectly frothy. Pour into a mug and add a sweetener if you like and enjoy!

🌿 New to Herbalism?

Not sure which herbs are actually worth buying?

I put together my personal Mountain Rose Herbs shopping guide with three complete herbal pantries:

💧 Hydration Pantry (around $100)
🌿 Home Apothecary (around $200)
🌙 Evening Ritual Collection (around $300)

Each one includes the exact herbs I recommend, what you can make with them, and why they've earned a permanent place in my own herbal pantry.
