It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with turmeric. Those golden spice lattes are my jam! I also to change things up every now and then and today we’re going to do just that with a golden saffron latte! There’s all sorts of research on how incredibly healing this spice is for mood and anxiousness.

A little bit of saffron goes a long way. You only need a few threads and you’re totally going to fall in love with the color! To make it you’ll need:

1 1/2 of your favorite plant based milk
10-12 threads of saffron
1 pitted medjool date
dash of ceylon cinnamon (starwest botanicals | mountain rose herbs | amazon)
splash of vanilla (starwest botanicals | amazon)

Simmer the milk over the stove with saffron threads for 7-8 minutes to infuse both the nutrients and the flavor. Remove from the heat and add to the blender along with the date and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour into a mug and sprinkle on a little cinnamon. Enjoy!

Why These Ingredients Are So Good for Your Skin

Bentonite Clay
This powerful natural clay is known for its ability to draw out toxins and impurities from the skin. It acts like a magnet, helping to unclog pores, reduce excess oil, and leave your skin feeling deeply cleansed and tightened.

Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal works similarly to bentonite clay, helping to bind to dirt, oil, and toxins. It’s especially helpful for acne-prone or congested skin, giving your pores a deep clean without harsh chemicals.

Honey
Honey is a gentle, natural humectant, meaning it helps your skin retain moisture. It’s also packed with antibacterial and soothing properties, making it perfect for calming irritation while keeping your skin soft and hydrated.

Water
Simple, but essential—water brings everything together into a smooth, spreadable paste while helping to activate the clay.

Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender is incredibly calming—not just for your mind, but for your skin too. It helps reduce redness, soothe irritation, and promotes a more even, balanced complexion.

Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense is often called the “king of oils” for a reason. It supports skin regeneration, helps improve the appearance of fine lines, and promotes a healthy, radiant glow.
